We are seeking a proactive Civils Estimator with strong experience in concrete tanks and reinforced concrete structures to support the growth of our civils division. This role is primarily focused on producing accurate estimates, evaluating technical information, preparing detailed quotations, and supporting the development of competitive bids. You will play a central role in shaping tender submissions and ensuring proposals meet client requirements and commercial objectives. As part of the bid function, you will also lead the full bid lifecycle from initial opportunity through to submission and produce high‑quality written content for tenders, including capability statements and technical responses.
In addition to the core estimating responsibilities, this position incorporates the broader duties of both Bid Manager and Sales Manager, supporting the entire enquiry‑to‑order process. This includes managing incoming enquiries, identifying potential clients, developing sales strategies, attending client meetings, and ensuring a smooth commercial workflow from first contact through to project award. Relationship building, brand promotion, and pipeline development remain key components of the role, helping to strengthen our presence within the UK market.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven experience within civils, construction, or structural projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, confident working to deadlines, and capable of managing a varied and technically demanding workload across estimating, bid coordination, and sales activity. Leadership qualities, problem‑solving ability, and a proactive approach are essential to succeed in this multi‑disciplinary position.
